Pinckneyville is a city in Perry County, Illinois, United States. The population was 5,464 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Perry County. It is named for Charles Cotesworth Pinckney, an early American diplomat. A Lockheed T-33A-1-LO “Shooting Star” (AF 52-9663, c/n 580-7848) is on display at the Perry County Fairgrounds. [1,2]
